National Sheep Summary for Week Ending Friday, September 13, 2013

   Weekly Trends:  Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
10.00 higher, instances 20.00 higher.  Slaughter ewes were steady to
10.00 higher, except at San Angelo they were weak to 5.00 lower.  Feeder
lambs were firm to 6.00 higher.  At San Angelo, TX 8360 head sold in a
one day sale.  Equity Electronic Auction sold 340 slaughter lambs in
Illinois.  In direct trading feeder lambs were 5.00 higher.  4300 head of 
negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were 1.00 lower and 11,200 head of 
formula sales of dressed lambs under 55 lbs were not well tested; 55-65 lbs 
were mostly 1.00 higher; 65-85 lbs were 4.00 to 5.00 higher; 85-95 lbs were 
not tested; and over 95 lbs were 4.00 to 5.00 lower.  6926 lamb carcasses 
sold with 45 lbs and down 8.39 lower; 45-65 lbs 3.81 to 8.39 lower; 65-75 
lbs were steady; and 85 lbs and up were 2.62 to 10.02 higher;  All sheep
sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
