Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were weak to
10.00 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to 12.00 higher. Feeder lambs
were mostly steady to 4.00 higher. At San Angelo, TX 4479 head sold in
a one day sale. No sales in Equity Electronic Auction. In direct
trading slaughter ewes were not tested and feeder lambs were steady.
5700 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were 4.00 higher and
12,000 head of formula sales of carcasses under 55 lbs were not well
tested; 55-65 lbs traded sharply higher; 65-75 lbs 9.00-10.00 higher;
75-85 lbs were 3.00-4.00 higher and no test on over 85 lbs. 6,329
lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 4.02 lower; 45-55 lbs 7.61
higher and 55 lbs and up 4.90-5.94 higher. All sheep sold per hundred
weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
