Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were mostly
steady to 4.00 lower, instances sharply lower. Slaughter ewes were mostly
steady to 8.00 lower. Feeder lambs were not well tested. At San Angelo,
TX 5581 head sold in a one day sale. No sales in Equity Electronic
Auction. In direct trading slaughter ewes not tested; feeder lambs were
weak. 5400 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were 2.00-6.00
lower and 9900 head of formula sales of carcasses under 55 lbs were not
well tested; 55-65 lbs were sharply lower; 65-85 lbs were 1.00-2.00
higher; 85-95 lbs were 1.00 lower and over 95 lbs had no recent
comparison. 4,820 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 5.12 higher;
45-55 lbs 9.55 lower; 55-65 lbs 6.15 higher; 65-75 lbs 2.70 lower and 75
lbs and up .86-1.86 lower. All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless
otherwise specified.
