Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were mostly
steady, instances 10.00 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to 10.00
lower. Feeder lambs were steady to 6.00 higher. At San Angelo, TX
6140 head sold in a one day sale. No sales in Equity Electronic Auction.
In direct trading slaughter ewes and feeder lambs steady. 9100 head of
negotiated sales of slaughter lambs under 170 lbs were firm while over
170 lbs were 3.00-5.00 lower and 6800 head of formula sales of carcasses
under 65 lbs were not well tested; 65-75 lbs were10.00-12.00 higher; 75-
85 lbs were 5.00-7.00 lower; 85-95 lbs were 2.00-4.00 higher and over 95
lbs were sharply higher. 5,140 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down
20.69 lower; 45-55 lbs 1.61 higher; 55-65 lbs 1.90 lower; 65-75 lbs .47
higher; 75-85 lbs .82 lower and 85 lbs and up .05 higher. All sheep sold
per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
