Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
as much as 20.00 higher. Slaughter ewes were mostly steady to 6.00
higher. Feeder lambs were steady to as much as 20.00 higher. At San
Angelo, TX 2234 head sold in a rain shortened one day sale. Equity
Electronic Auction sold 711 slaughter lambs in Oregon. In direct trading
slaughter ewes steady and feeder lambs 10.00 higher. 3600 head of
negotiated sales of slaughter lambs under 170 lbs were 3.00-4.00 lower,
while those over 170 lbs were not tested and 7200 head of formula sales
of carcasses under 65 lbs were not well tested; 65-75 lbs were 12.00-
16.00 lower; 75-95 lbs were 2.00-3.00 higher and over 95 lbs were 1.00-
2.00 lower. 4,285 lamb carcasses sold with 55 lbs and down 9.95-14.40
lower; 55-65 lbs .19 lower; 65-75 lbs .91 higher and 75 lbs and up .63-
.70 lower. All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise
specified.
