National Sheep Summary for Week Ending Friday, October 31, 2014

Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
10.00 higher. Slaughter ewes were steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder lambs
were mostly steady to 9.00 lower. At San Angelo, TX 4456 head sold in a
one day sale. Equity Electronic Auction sold 340 slaughter lambs in
North Dakota. In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and no
comparison on feeder lambs. 7500 head of negotiated sales of slaughter
lambs were 1.00-2.00 higher and 6,000 head of formula sales of carcasses
under 65 lbs were not well tested; 65-85 lbs were steady to 2.00 lower
and over 85 lbs were not well tested. 6,089 lamb carcasses sold with
45 lbs and down 21.39 higher and 45 lbs and up steady to 1.02 higher.
All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
