Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
10.00 higher. Slaughter ewes were steady to sharply higher. Feeder
lambs were firm to 10.00 higher. At San Angelo, TX 1939 head sold in a
weather reduced sale. Equity Electronic Auction sold 335 slaughter lambs
in North Dakota. In direct trading slaughter ewes and feeder lambs were
not tested. 6600 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs under 170
lbs were 1.00-4.00 lower and 8300 head of formula sales of carcasses
under 75 lbs were not well tested; 75-95 lbs were 2.00-5.00 higher and
over 95 lbs were not well tested. 5,521 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs
and down 29.07 higher; 45-55 lbs 2.98 higher and 55 lbs and up 1.85-3.99
lower. All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise
specified.
