Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
10.00 higher, instances 10.00-30.00 higher at New Holland, PA. Slaughter
ewes were mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Feeder lambs were firm. At San
Angelo, TX 2919 head sold in a one day sale. No sales in Equity
Electronic Auction. In direct trading slaughter ewes and feeder lambs
not tested. 5900 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were 4.00-
6.00 lower and 10,500 head of formula sales of carcasses under 65 lbs
were not well tested; 65-75 lbs had no comparison; 75-85 lbs were steady
to 1.00 higher; 85-95 lbs were 2.00-3.00 lower and over 95 lbs were
steady. 5,589 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 10.60 lower; 45-
65 lbs 2.57-4.21 lower and 65 lbs and up 1.57-2.76 lower. All sheep sold
per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
