National Sheep Summary for Week Ending Friday, October 16, 2015

Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
3.00 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to 5.00 lower, except at Sioux
Falls, SD and Ft. Collins, CO where they were 2.00-12.00 higher. Feeder
lambs were very uneven, mostly weak to 10.00 lower. At San Angelo, TX
4159 head sold in a one day sale. Equity Electronic Auction sold 335
slaughter lambs in North Dakota. In direct trading slaughter ewes were
not tested and feeder lambs were steady. 6400 head of negotiated sales
of slaughter lambs were steady to 1.00 lower. 9,000 head of formula
sales under 55 lbs were not well tested; 55-75 lbs were 5.00-8.00 lower;
75-85 lbs were steady to 3.00 higher and over 85 lbs were not well tested
last week. 6,111 carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 18.25 higher; 45-55
lbs .94 higher; 55-75 lbs .35-.57 lower and 75 lbs and up .01-.90 higher.
All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
