Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were mostly
steady to 25.00 lower, except at New Holland, PA steady to 10.00 higher.
Slaughter ewes were mostly steady to 5.00 lower, except at New Holland
5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder lambs were mostly weak to 5.00 lower. At San
Angelo, TX 7639 head sold. Equity Electronic Auction sold 2200 feeder
lambs in Texas. In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and
feeder lambs were steady. 2700 head of negotiated sales of slaughter
lambs were steady. 11,400 head of formula sales of 85-95 lbs dressed
lambs were steady other weights had no trend due to confidentiality.
4,864 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 11.11 lower; 45-65 lbs no
trend due to confidentiality; 65-75 lbs 1.88 lower; 75-85 lbs .55 higher
and 85 lbs and up no trend due to confidentiality. All sheep sold per
hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
