National Sheep Summary for Week Ending Friday, September 16, 2016

Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
20.00 lower in the face of the Eid ul-Adha holiday. Slaughter ewes were
steady to 12.00 lower. Feeder lambs were 10.00-20.00 lower. At San
Angelo, TX 5904 head sold. Equity Electronic Auction sold 321 slaughter
lambs in Nebraska. In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and
feeder lambs were 11.00 lower. 6800 head of negotiated sales of slaughter
lambs were steady. 9300 head of formula sales had no trend due to
confidentiality. 4,447 lamb carcasses sold with 75 lbs and down no trend
due to confidentiality; 75-85 lbs 4.45 lower and 85 lbs and up .48 higher.
All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
