National Sheep Summary for Week Ending Friday, August 11, 2017

   Weekly Trends:  Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
as much as 20.00 higher.  Slaughter ewes were steady to 7.00 lower.
Feeder lambs were steady to 4.00 lower.  At San Angelo, TX 6370 head
sold.  Equity Electronic Auction sold 330 slaughter lambs in North
Dakota.  In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested; no recent
comparison on feeder lambs.  5,000 head of negotiated sales of slaughter
lambs were steady to 3.00 lower.  3,078 lamb carcasses sold with all
weights no trend due to confidentiality.  All sheep sold per hundred
weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
